Joining and breaking paths
The Join Knots tool joins together two end-knots, making two open paths into one. You must first ensure that the end-knots are positioned one on top of the other, and then click over the two knots with this tool.
The Break Knot tool breaks a knot in the middle of a path, making it into two end-knots. A closed path becomes an open path; an open path is split into two open paths.
- If you click on the knot you're breaking, the two new end-knots will remain in the same place.
- If instead you click and drag on the knot you're breaking, you'll drag away one of the new end-knots, leaving a visible gap.
